It is Saturday, August 19, 2023. It is still summer. It is 105 degrees outside. School just started this week. Why for the love of God is the pool closed for the season!!!??? I bought a family membership so myself and 2 children could swim this summer. The pool only offered family swim for working families 1 day during the week and a few hours on Saturday. This was a complete waste of my money!
What a gem! They have everything for the whole family. They have childcare while I work out. Isn’t that amazing?My son enjoy the soccer program last year and he is going to try out the swimming lessons this summer!
My son enjoyed his swim lessons and he really made a lot of progress. He can now swim without assistance in deep water, tread water and jump off the diving board and swim the entire length of the pool. He also said the instructor was nice. We also took lesson this summer at a popular indoor location. Although we enjoyed being indoors from the excessive Texas heat, his ability to make significant progress was decreased by the amount of space each class had in the pool. They were also not taught in the deep end of the pool or taught to dive off the diving board because there was no diving board. If you can withstand the heat, I suggest you have your child attend lessons at the YMCA. Not only were the lessons more challenging, they also saved us a few dollars. :)
I absolutely love the Child centered instruction. The way they get to learn to take turns and share the attention of the instructor as they learn from seeing each other perform and get motivated to do their best when is their turn. I know my kids feel safe because they know they can trust their instructors guidance. I love yo be able yo see them grow in age and skills every summer and take pictures and short videos to celebrate with my kids their accomplishments one at a time. Many thanks to all who work to provide this opportunity for all children to learn useful skills and giving us parents peace of mind.
Every Mon., Tues., Wed. & Thurs. when I check in I am greeted with such nice & friendly folks at the front desk. The exercise classes are great as well as the instructors.
